Vanity Auto License Tags Seen or Reported by Others


Enough of this talk about DEATH and CEMETERIES.......let's shift gears for a little while to some more happy thoughts!!!



In Oklahoma, a licensed automobile driver may order regular metal license tags for their cars with up to seven personalized letters or numbers for an annual fee of $12.00.

Several years ago when I was in the oil and gas business, my car tag read:

Since that time I have been honoring my late grandfathers each year with their last names:

DELUDE

ELY

and

ROBERTS

To honor my distant cousin Robert Talkington and others who survived or were killed in the explosion of the Steamship SULTANA I purchased the tag:

To honor my great-grandfather Peter Nichols Talkington I plan to purchase a tag next year that indicates his Civil War service in the 8th Iowa Cavalry
